The children have been using the iPads to practice their number formation, sounds and drawing skills.
Today we went on the trim trail! We loved climbing, jumping and balancing.
Today we went outside to draw space pictures with chalk. The children loved drawing pictures of Earth, the moon, rockets and astronauts.
Today we started looking at taking away an amount from a starting number. The children had numbered rockets and first, had to put the correct amount of people on them. They then had to take away an amount of people and count how many were left on the rocket. We took away up to 5 people, the children were really good at this activity.
We have been reading “Aliens love underpants” this week. The children loved the story. Today they had design a brand new pair of underpants for the alien. They used stamper pens to create beautiful patterns.
This week we have been focusing on counting in maths. Today the children had to count the sea creatures on the interactive whiteboard. They then had to identify the correct number.
Today we have been painting dinosaurs. We have been focusing on painting carefully within the lines and talking about colours we want to use. We also looked at mixing black and white to make grey.
This week we have been learning about dinosaurs. Today we had to practice our touch counting and move each dinosaurs into a line as we counted.
Today the children had a task to make a robot from anything they wanted or could find in our classroom. They chose to make robots out of bricks, playdough and to draw them using pens.
The dinosaurs are trapped in the ice! The children spent ages using different tools to try and help them escape. We spoke about how cold the ice was and how the heat in classroom was making it melt.
